Harbourside, Shetland islands

Very much enjoyed our time in Shetland. Unfortunately we were just too late for the migratory birds! Positive: The location is excellent, right in the heart of Lerwick. It might be difficult for someone who is not very physically able to access the property as you have to go up (or down) a narrow lane and several stairs. Not easy with a heavy suitcase. Negative: Not being able to check in until 4pm, having arrived on the overnight ferry at 7am (on a rainy Sunday when Lerwick was effectively closed) would have been a real inconvenience if we had not organised a rental car in advance. On asking for an earlier check in we were offered 2pm (i.e. brought forward 2 hours only), but at a cost of £25, which seem extortionate.

Will certainly come back! Positive: Very clean, tidy and warm. Great location in the centre of Lerwick. Quiet and comfortable

Thoroughly enjoyable Positive: The location is excellent as it is very close to the harbour front. The two bedrooms are similar so excellent for two adults or two couples. Very easy public parking

A beautiful little property in a superb location. Positive: The location of this property is excellent, literally just yards from the town centre. It has been recently refurbished with high quality materials and fittings. Very clean with an excellent welcome pack. Negative: There is only one bathroom,mwhich requires some planning for four adults. There is no lounge, although the kitchen diner is large, and the only TVs are in the bedrooms.

Fabulous Positive: Location and the property was well appointed. We had everything that we needed.
